With this being my last required visit, I still want to go out to this area some more times in the future. Doing a visit to the same area every week for a while has been a cool experience and I will remember it for a long time.

My Seventh Visit (11-21-10)
Today I made my last visit to my location. The first thing I did was to take my picture from my same location, but with me it. Right after I took the picture my camera ran out of batteries, so I couldn't get any more pictures.
The temperature was in the mid 50's and the time of daylight today was 9:35. I noticed somethings were missing while I was out there: the familiar sound of birds chirping and the mosquitoes and other little bugs. These are sure signs of winter approaching. However I did see some organisms while I was out there, but because of the dead camera batteries, I couldn't get any pictures. I saw a black squirrel that ran up a tree. I saw fungi growing on dead branches and leaves. I even found two worms while getting my soil samples, which was the last thing I did.

My Sixth Visit (11-14-10)
Today I made my sixth visit to y field study location. The temperature was around 50° and the length of the day was 9:49. When I got there I took the picture that I take from the same location every time.
The next thing I did was to take my soil samples from my three locations. Then I looked around for a while and found organisms or evidence of organisms.
I saw two nests of made out of leaves in a tree.
I also saw some fungi growing on a stick.
I also found some moss growing on a tree branch.
I also heard geese honking as they flew past nearby. Another evidence of organisms that I discovered later were some burrs on my shoelaces. I can see the shift into winter beginning to happen at my location, with all of the trees bare and the temperatures going down. Hopefully it won't get too cold before next week when I make my last visit.

My Fifth Visit (11-7-10)
What a great day! The weather was great today and I made my fifth visit to my field study location. The temperature was 50° and the length of the day was 10:06. One of the first things that I noticed was all the leaves on the ground, which can be seen in the picture that I take from the same place every time I visit.
While I was out there, I heard something scuttling around in the leaves. As it turns out, the noise came from two black squirrels, but they were to quick for me to get a picture of them. I also heard a flock of geese honking as they flew by overhead. Another interesting thing that I found was a leave that was decaying.
I also noticed how there were basically no leaves in the trees anymore. The last thing I did before I left was to collect my soil samples from my three locations.

My Fourth Visit (10-31-10)
Brr! It's cold out there and I forgot to wear a coat. Today I made my fourth visit to my field study location. The number of hours of daylight today was 10:21. It was around 45° and I made my visit at around 5:30. When I got there there were some birds chirping, but other than that I din't see or hear any animals. The leaves are almost all gone from the trees, accept for some in the very highest branches. The leaves that are still in the trees are mostly brown.
While I was there, I also collected my soil samples from my three locations. The last thing I did was take my picture that I take from the same spot every time.
I hope that it doesn't get much colder too quickly because I was taking the warm weather for granted.

3rd Visit (10-10-10)
I made my third visit to my area today. While I was walking to it I saw a squirrel and I heard some birds chirping. The temperature today was 76° and there was 11:19 of sunlight. When I got there, found a big group of mushrooms.
I also noticed that there were a lot more leaves on the ground than last time. In the picture that I take from the same spot every time, I noticed a little red in one of the trees.
I also collected my soil samples for my original research. When I got back to my house I found that I had some burs stuck on my shoelace. With the changing colors of some leaves, I noticed a difference form last time, but I think that next time I go it will even more different.

2nd Visit (9-26-2010)
Today I made my second official visit to my area. As I was walking towards it I heard birds chirping back and forth. I also saw and felt some mosquitos flying around. I also found some fungi growing on a stick and a mushroom.
I also found some spider webs on the bottom of a branch.
I also took my soil samples from my three locations. The temperature was 59° and the length of the day was 11:57. The last thing that I did was take a picture by setting my camera on the same branch of a tree.
I couldn't really tell that much of a difference from the last visit I made, but I think as the seasons change to fall I will be able to tell a bigger difference in the future.
Research Data Visit (Sept 15, 2010)
I made a visit today to get some soil samples for my original research, but I didn't make a full visit. The temperature was 70° when I went out and hours of daylight was 12:30.
